Children’s Grief Center

Since 2001, the Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico has been providing free bereavement services to children ages 5-25 after the death of a loved one. At the CGC, children see that there are other children just like them, that the death was not their fault,and that there are healthy ways to process their experience and remember a loved one. In New Mexico, 1 in 10 children will lose a parent or sibling before the age of 18.

Grief Resource Center

The Grief Resource Center opened in 2016 and has served more than 2000 individuals experiencing grief. The GRC offers understanding, hope, and encouragement to adults in NM who are experiencing grief and helps guide them on their individual pathways to healing.

UNMH Children’s Psychiatric Center

UNM Hospital Children’s Psychiatric Center provides intensive behavioral health care for children and adolescents through age 17. It is the only provider offering treatment regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Personalized care ranges from inpatient, residential, or partial hospitalization programs. Families are an integral part of the care, and center staff continue to work to help the child succeed after returning home.
